Amirul Azmi, a dedicated Lighting Designer and passionate Arts and Theatre Practitioner, originally hailing from the vibrant city of Singapore. Amirul’s journey in the Arts Industry began in 2012, and he has been mesmerising audiences with the power of Lighting Design since 2017. Amirul holds a Diploma in Theatre Production and Management from LASALLE College of The Arts, Singapore, which he obtained in 2020.
While his heart beats to the rhythm of Lighting Design, Amirul is an open-minded creative who embraces any opportunity that the ever-evolving arts industry offers, regardless of geographical boundaries. His educational background provided him with a solid foundation and he has continued to expand his horizons through training and apprenticeship programs which led him to multiple notable design and production credits in his home base.
His ultimate goal is to continue honing his skills and using his artistry to draw people into the enchanting world of the Arts through various forms of creative expression as he believes in the transformative power of the Arts to enhance storytelling, evoke emotions and creates the unforgettable experience which will leave an everlasting impact.
Currently, Amirul is pursuing his Master of Art in Collaborative Theatre Production and Design at the esteemed Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, United Kingdom.
